Real Estate 1 Enables National Search Function

< 1 minute read

Real Estate 1 officially launched nationally today, upgrading their portal so property seekers can now search for properties outside Victoria. This increase in search functionality has been added to both the www.realestate1.com.au and www.realestate1commercial.com.au portals.

This function was previously not available to anyone browsing the site, however agents have always been able to add listings Australia wide and users could find these listings through Google searches.

From their press release:

When Real Estate 1 first launched www.realestate1.com.au & www.realestate1commercial.com.au in Victoria, we allowed a free to list policy for all agents who registered with the site in the 1st year of operation. Now into our 3rd year of operation and with the National search function enabled, we welcome all agents from other states in Australia to list their properties with the same free to list policy that our Victorian agents were offered.

It’s great to see another FREE national real estate portal where agencies can gain additional exposure at no extra cost. If you’re interested in advertising your listings on either portal then you can sign-up very easily here.

Good to see, bright looking site when compared to the other majors, looks like a considerable upgrade added lots of features previously missing.

I have some empathy to realestate1 and wish them all the best in their national launch. If we can be of some support will be glad to help.

Ryan, do you have any news on REA’s action against realestate1?

    Betta Fish,

Peter Ricci did an article about this subject on 13th November B2. Raised a bit of interest. And yes it was about the use of realestate in the name.

Vic, sorry I don’t. But I’m waiting eagerly as there are a few other portals using the term realestate in their domain.
