Homely.com.au reveals top 100 suburbs across Australia, ranking every suburb and awarding that elusive top spot

5 minute read

Powered by over half a million consumer reviews, Homely.com.au has today released an insight in to the top 100 suburbs in Australia, ranked by the locals that know best.

17th September 2014– After hundreds of thousand of reviews from agents and locals, Homely.com.au has provided an in depth overview for those who have wanted to know what is the best suburb in Australia. The reviews, which rank suburbs in Australia with a score out of 10 provides an amazing insight into the most desired places to live in Australia.

CEO Jason Spencer said “Homely’s ratings and reviews have been a valuable piece of information for people deciding where to live. With years of existing data from our Streetadvisor website, we have been able to collect hundreds of thousands of opinions from consumers to find out how much they love their suburbs”

“Reviews are what so many people base their decisions off today, from where to eat, and where to shop, reviews have the power to transform decisions. The power of reviews is even bigger when it comes to choosing where to live, and by providing this information we are hoping to help people find their dream area, not just their dream home”

And the results may come as a surprise. The highest ranked suburbs are not beach glamours Bondi or Bronte in NSW and Toorak and South Yarra in Melbourne. “Ratings and reviews take in multiple factors, when consumers create their review they respond to an in depth list of criteria, from how clean it is, the nightlife on offer, and how peaceful and quiet it. All too often people think the best homes are in the most expensive areas, but that’s not always the case with liveability” mentioned Spencer.
